Rice pudding

Another dessert recipie that doubles as breakfast in my household.

I actually have 2 recipies that I like. Which one I make depends on what time I have.

2 cups of cooked rice
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup skim milk powder
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup raisins
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Combine rice, water skim milk powder, sugar raisings cinnamon and salt in a medium sauce pan and mix well.

Turn the stove on to low heat and cook until pudding is creamy.( about 20 minutes)
Stir in vanilla and serve warm.

The second recipie is much sweeter so makes a better dessert

4 cups of cooked rice
1 stick of butter or margarine
1 can of sweetend and condensed milk (not evaporated milk)

Combine ingredients in a medium saucepan and cook over low heat until the mixture becomes creamy.

The original recipie called for just 2 cups of rice, but it was tooooooo sweet for me. I like this much better.
