cherry almond bars

1 cup butter
 2 cups packed brown sugar
 2 teaspoons baking powder
 1 egg
 1 teaspoon almond extract
 2 cups all purpose flour
 2 cups rolled oats
 half cup sliced almonds
 12 ounce jar cherry preserves

 cream butter and sugars for 30 seconds on high speed. add baking powder eggs and almond extract.  beat in as much flour as you can with mixer. Using a wooden spoon stir in any remaining flour, oats,  and almonds. Press dough evenly into a jelly roll pan spread with preserve bake for 35 minutes 350 degrees

payday cookie bars

1 yellow cake mix
 half cup melted butter
 1 egg
 mix ingredients and press into on greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes.
 Immediately sprinkle with 4 cup mini marshmallow and return to oven until marshmallows are puffed but not brown remove from oven and sprinkle with a mixture of 2 cup Rice Krispies and 2 cups salted peanuts.

1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 ounces peanut butter chips
 combine ingredients in bowl and microwave until melted.  Pour evenly over top of cereal mixture. Refrigerate until candy topping is firm. Cut into bars with a sharp knife.

Fudge cookies

1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips 
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate chopped
2 tablespoons butter

melts in saucepan remove from heat.
 2 eggs
2/3 cup sugar 
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla 
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped cashews, pecans or almonds
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips 
 Add eggs sugar flour vanilla and baking powder to melted chocolate
Beat with wooden spoon until combined add remaining chocolate and nuts. drop by teaspoon on teaspoon full 2 inches apart.  bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes.
